While the Aussie Car Exporters name is relatively new, our parent company has been importing cars INTO Australia for nearly 20 years. Kristian’s garage is an eclectic mix of Japanese and European vehicles.

Director, Kristian Appelt, gave up his former life as a teacher in 1999 to move to Japan and work at the car auctions, exporting cars to dealers in Australia and around the world. He then returned to Australia to create Auto Services Group, which provides a range of vehicle logistics services to corporate, wholesale and retail clients. More recently, he has been heavily involved in lobbying the Australian federal government to relax vehicle importation regulations. Kristian’s garage is an eclectic mix of Japanese and European vehicles, with his pride and joy being an R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II N1, one of only 18 ever built.

Avid car enthusiast Tim Hartley joins the ACE team with an extensive background in retail sales.

Avid car enthusiast Tim Hartley joins the ACE team with an extensive background in retail sales, and, like Kristian, has followed his passion and is now buying and selling cars full time. Tim has a knack for negotiating great deals on your behalf, and loves nabbing a bargain. Conversely, he has a peculiar love for old BMWs and rotary-engined Mazdas, so he’s clearly knows a thing or two about patience and anger management. Tim’s shed is currently dominated by a Toyota Supra and an R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R, both “in the build”, which is the polite way of saying they’re still in pieces having lots of money thrown at them.
